Now i know some may see this and think "Yeah Right" but it's true. some of the smallest and simplest things that we eat drink or even do could cause a migraine to go off.
For example, one day I ate chocolate and noticed a headache within a few hours. A few days later, I ate chocolate again but didn't get a headache. Is chocolate a trigger for your migraine? It's hard to say. Maybe by itself chocolate is fine, but when combined with another trigger, the two items set off a migraine.
To help you find your triggers and trigger combination's, many doctors recommend keeping a diet diary. By writing down everything you eat and drink, and tracking when your migraines occur, you and your doctor may be able to pinpoint likely triggers and trigger combination's. Be aware, of course, that other factors come into play, too, such as the weather and your own hormones.
Maybe you already knew this, and maybe you didn't. I'm just trying to STRESS the fact that there are a ton of things that could set off a migraine and that having a log of what you do/eat/drink as well as the weather of the day, is a good way to start to better yourself. i have, and have been on a HEALTHY trip since, basically only consuming things that are grown and not made and well the migraines have since cut back A TON!
They haven't completely left but i now have roughly 1 every 2-3 months and can willingly except that over 1 every 4 day's, roughly and not only that, they don't last for days nor are they crippling. i believe a healthy lifestyle is an incredible way to start. i hope this helps in any way sorry if it's too long.
Oh i forgot to mention i used to consume a ton of fast food and microwaveable foods before.
