Hello there. Glad to have found you all, well kinda. Glad that I am not the only one out there that suffers from bad headaches. I am a married female, I will be 30 in November of this year, Hubby and I are awaiting the call for our baby that we're adopting to come.
I am currently in the hospital, so far has been about 20 hours.
So here's my story:
Jan 27th 2011 I started getting a headache, Thought maybe it was just a cold/sinus infection coming on. Neither of those happened. Instead I ended up 7 days later in the ER the 1st time with such a severe headache I couldn't open my eyes. Fast Forward to now, been seen by regular general practitioner 4x's, a neurologist 3x's, pain management twice and am on my 2nd time being admitted to hospital.
I've tried, cortisone injections (made me get sick all over 1/2 way through, oxycodone, topamax, migranal, prednisone and am currently on Methadone (lowest dose possible).
They've done 2 MRI's, 2 CT scans, an EEG, and a lumbar puncture. They would like to do another lumbar puncture while I am here.
All tests have come back normal, except the WBC count in my spinal tap was 22, when it is supposed to be less than 5. So, that is the only thing that they've found.
And yet, here I am on day number 71 and I haven't gone a day without a headache. Most days they are manageable, days like yesterday and today. I just want to curl up and cry. Which I've done a lot the past few hours.
Sorry to ramble on and on. But I know you all understand where I am coming from. Thanks for letting me vent.
Adrienne
