I'm a 21 year old female and for a number of years now, I've experienced infrequent bouts of a sharp, shooting pain up my neck, usually only happening every few months and lasting less than 10 seconds. On rare occassions, however, it's lasted up to 20 seconds and radiated up to my lower skull. I've also noticed it tends to happen when I'm tired, but not always. I don't really suffer from any other head or neck pain, although I do have a very mild case of scoliosis. The pain usually occurs on the right side of my neck, but has occurred on the left.
It's not really much of a bother to me, and I doubt it's being caused by anything sinister, due to the long period of time I've experienced them and the lack of other symptoms, but I figured I'd better be safe than sorry!
Thanks in advance for any replies.
