Hello,
Is this you:
Do you get migraines with visual disturbances, have you had them since your teens but did they improve for many years but returned in your 20's or 30's?
Are you female and have you had mutltiple miscarriages?
Have you ever had a clot in your leg, called a DVT?
If it's not, ignore this and read another topic.
If it is, No, I'm not trying to sell you something. Please read this. It could be the most important messagel in your life. Yes, really.
I am not trying to scare you but you may have Hughes Syndrome, a condition which causes your blood to go sticky. You may also find you recover from bruises quickly and do not get cold very often.I say all of this because I have Hughes Syndrome - again, I'm not selling anything. The first time I found about this was when I collapsed with a stroke in August 2010; it nearly killed me but didn't. I had a pulmonary embolism and double pneumonia in hospital soon afterwards - both nearly killed me. It was several months before the blood tests showed I had this syndrome. I am now being treated for it through blood-thinning medication for life. Since that treatment started, i've had no more adverse symptoms and my migraines have stopped.
I wish I had read something like this before my stroke- I'm hoping this will save you from what I went through. I was a fit healthy 43 year old male, made disabled overnight. If I can spare just one of you from this it will mean something to me. Ask your medical practitioner if you can be tested for this; it's only a simple blood test - just one test will not confirm if you have it; ask them too if you could take take low dose soluble aspirin (80mg) as a precaution. It can help prevent clots caused by this or heart problems too. With proper diagnosis can come proper treatment and the chance to never be struck down as I was, hopefully.
Sorry for such a dramatic post - again, i so wish I had known about it. I aM lucky to be alive and lucky to hopefully be able to warn you too.
Think about it - if you had been through, what I have been through, wouldn't you try to warn people? If this strikes a chord, don't just ignore it - ask to be tested, ask about the aspirin, keep an eye on your weight and Cholesterol level/ Blood Sugar level. Quit smoking too. Trust me, you don't want to see your family and children seeing you dying. You can prevent this.
If I have shocked, upset or angered you, I am sorry, that was not my intention. My intention is only to warn you.
Please get tested; I hope the results are negative and if positive you are given treatment straight away.
I thank you for reading this and taking action, if appropriate.
With kind regards
Damian
