Can migraines change sides after 40 years?

I've had migraines for 40 years now - 99% of them left head sided and the rest occasionally centred. I can usually stop them in their tracks with zolmitripitan. The past 2 days I have had intense ones on the left side with vomiting. I thought I might have a bug until I vomited majorly today and the pain lifted almost immediately.

Question - can they change sides after all those years?? I did take quite a bang to my left temple a month or so ago resulting in a black eye
