Gabapentin for Migraines?

So my doctor prescribed me Gabapentin for my reoccurring migraines.
I'm wondering if anyone else is taking it.
I take 600mg in the morning and it makes me feel so weird.
I start to shake like I'm having a sugar crash, my hands get really cold, I run into things and cannot walk very straight.
Anyone else have problems with it?

I was put on it but could not take it because I could not function or stay awake and I work night shift and I have to be awake and alert at my job so I refused to take it. anything that made be that unfocused I couldnt see myself being able to take care of me or my kids so I could do better with the headaches!

Try taking it at night when you want to get sleepy. It's actually great for having vivid dreams. Your doctor should have never started you on 600mg. You should have been started on 100 for one week then 200 for the second week etc etc. At one point a few months ago before all my operations I was on 900 to 1200mg a day. I would take 600mg after 10pm (I stay up late) and if I'm not asleep by 3am or so I take another 300mg. I had no problems functioning during the day. I was also told to take 400mg of Vitamin B2 everyday as well. This has helped my migraines a lot and also some other neurological pain I am having.
