migraine neural stim surgery

ok...I have been a migraine sufferer for 6 years. I am 59 years old and can't take much more of this. Really interfering with quality of life. I saw a tape of a show from the U.S. (aired Jan.18, 2012) called The Doctors (I think) and a portion of the show was the story of a 17 yr. old girl that suffered constant migraine. She had a surgery that I am interested in. They referred to it as neural stim (as in stimulation) where wires were surgically implanted in her head just beneath the skin and also towards the back of her skull. A battery cell was then surgically implanted in her hip (gluteous). She had only been 4 or 5 days out of surgery and aside from pain at incision points (normal) she felt no head pain whatsoever.
Sorry for long story but does anyone out there know more about this procedure and is it available in Canada?? Please help!!

all types of triptans, pain meds, many other treatments even accupuncture and all those types of so called releif. Dr. Kenneth Reed one surgeon in Oklahoma that does the neuro stim surgery. I can't find anything in Canada. I am in Alberta. Thanks for reply.
