vertigo and migraine

has anyone experienced painless migraine with vertigo?  i have suffered from vertigo several times a year lasting about 3 days each episode.  after seeing ENT, hearing tests, mri, etc. i was sent to a neurologist who is treating these as possible migraines. 

anyone that can share their experiences would be most appreciated.

I don't get headaches with my migraine symptoms. One of them is vertigo. It can be triggered by change in pressure of the room such as the act of turning on an air conditioner, certain room heaters, or change in weather. It usually lasts all day, but I did have two spells where it lasted for weeks. During these spells I could hear my heartbeat in my ear and sometimes I hear ringing.

My new neurologist thinks it could be migraines because my symptoms progress slowly over a few minutes to hours. If it was sudden it could be due to seizures.

I take meclizine as a rescue with great effect. Amitryptyline and topamax were ineffective as preventatives. I am currently trying nortripyline.

hi there, yes i get visual disturbance all the time, its awfull! i was told by consultant its vertigo or like vertigo. iuve had it for a year, i get it almost constantly, feel so disoriontated, cant travel in a car etc, very very hard to deal with indeedy. ive just been on topiramate, i had the most awful side effects with this drug ever!!!!! they were insaine, but this was the only drug that eased my vision. but i couldnt handle to side effects. I suffer with chronic daily migriane with visual disurbace. have a read of my post, its the last one, by my lovely. ive written about the vision bit, dont know if its exactly what you get. i find it really hard to describe.
