My husband has been having sharp stabbing pains in the left side of his head, around the eye area. It just started the last few days. It only lasts for about
5 seconds to 5 minutes. His mother died of an aneurism and I am very worried about
him. What could this be? Last night he said his fingers on his left side were numb. If that helps.

Pilotswife, I am a new member, if your husband is still having these symptons he should see your doctor right away. could be anything from TIA which is small strokes signaled by the numbness or Trigeminal Neuralgia indicated by the pain. Hope you are both doing better.

It could be many things. Best thing is to get him in the doctor, also ask the doctor for a MRI and a neurologist consult. It could be a trigger point sinus headache, TIA, inflamed sinus', inflammation, so much.
