Do you have a throbbing pain? Does this period of headache coincide with your 'monthly days'? I am so clueless why the docs here give antibiotics for sinus infection. It is usually a viral infection and sinus infection, if it is, usually is IN the sinuses, not above the ears (I never had there). Do you feel nauseated?
If Fioricet is helping you then most likely, its migraine. If you run out of Fioricet, you could give a try to Alleve as well but do NOT exceed recommended dose. If 2 within a period of 8 hours don't help then its not working (Take one, wait for 2 hours, if it doesn't help take another one after 2 hours and thats about it). If you don't have alleve on hand, you could give a try to Exedrin migraine or Bayer migraine (You could try store brands of these medication, talk to the pharmacist). Get an appointment with a neurologist and before you will up whatever you are prescribed, ask for a sample. They usually have it, so that you don't fill up prescription for something that doesn't work for you.
Take a look at goodrx.com to find who sells your prescription cheapest and call in advance to confirm. Usually I can not read whatever any of my docs write on prescription so I ask them and write it down myself.
