Offical migraine dx today

Had vertigo testing done today, let me tell you it was quite rough on me however after this testing the doctor then comes into my room and said his diagnosis for my vertigo, and other symptoms is migraines. My daughter was dx'd 3 years ago with migraines, so now its in the family. I get vertigo and eye problems with my migraines.
I just hate having another dx, and doctor prescribed Elavil, anyone heree using this medicine?
Also, this testing just has me in a bad grip of a migraine.
Years ago a doctor was suspectful of occulair migraines, maybe thats more of what I have, I don't know, but every so often I have vision blackouts, I don't blackout just that I can't see for a few seconds to a few minutes.

I also have:allergies, asthma, back problems ddd, moderate spinal stenosis, inflammatory arthritis, osteoarthritis, pituitary prolactin tumor, fibro, and now migraines....thats my history not much fun but hopefully will get better and trying to stay positive....I love to cross stitch...sorry for the typos

My situation is pretty much like yours. Vertigo, migraines, some occular migraines.

I take propanlol and elavil for migraine surpression. It works mostly unless I trigger an episode.

I took about 18 days of prednisone in October and had migraine headaches over night for 11 days.

My PCP had me do a trial of taking a cold med with 5 mg phenylephrine HCl...any brand.

And get this, it worked. Or the episode was over?

On the vertigo, I have BPV with the eye movements. My ENT did that fancy maneuver where they lie you down and twist your neck this way and that...I was sick to my stomach when they did it. I had a really BAD episode when the tipped me back. But it has not returned in 3 months...so instead of daily dizzy spells when I lay down, and some inbetween general dissyness, I am CURED. Well, for now.

Mama Lama, I tried benadrly as that is supposed to help, but it dried me out that my asthma flaired, it sure is harder when you add more dx's into it, benadryl did help the vertigo but the migraine is fierece right now.
