IV for migraine treatment

I have had a daily headache since  OCT 26 of this year. I am on a leave from work. on Nov 20 i went to see a headache specialist to see if she could help me. the Dr put me on prednisone 10mg 84 tablets which is a 21 day supply. she also put me on topamax 25mg to build that up 100 mg. well the meds have not work.I wake up everyday with a pain level of 7 to 8 for my headache. yesterday the Dr set up a appt for me to have IV treatment to tried to break the headaches but it has not work so for. i woke up with a headache of 2 to 3 pain level and now it is a 7 to 8. has anyone else had IV treatment and what was their results? I am coming to my wits end. Everyday day a headache and neck pain nothing any of the Dr's have tried have given me a single day of relief.

In the hospital I am given iv magnesium sulfate along with a steroid, can't remember name, am migraining right now... They have also used depakote, and dhea. When they mix a cocktail of these it usually breaks the headache after a few days of treatment.

Good luck, I think I am hospital bound tomorrow after I see my neuro, and will be joining you for a cocktail.....wish we were meeting for a different type of cocktail!!!

They were continuous , I think every 12 hrs. Mag, same with steroid . But it took days, think 3 of continuous treatment. I am really struggling now, hit a 9 or 10 in the last hour.....crying, clenching jaw.....

Or anti seizure meds? I take zonasimide as a preventive and I have never found anything that works as well.
I've never had neck pain with my migraines. I seem to remember that those needed to be treated with something combined with a benzo. You may ask your dr about that.
I have had to stay overnight in the hospital for my migraines because I was receiving in meds. It was phenergren, deplore, and something else (supposed to help with the loss of feeling on my left side). Maybe even ask to see a headache specialist. Good luck
