Hello all, it's been a while since I last posted. I have been having migraines since my total hysterectomy in 2009.
I started with your regular run of the mill migraines, then they changed to month long migraines, then I started with a ton of neuro symptoms.
I am currently on my 5 th day of migraine. I started with what I guess would be a silent migraine, numbness on left side face, balance issues, stomach issues, and things have progressed to left eye drooping (not uncommon for me) confusion, not able to eat, tons of visual auras, dropping things from my hands, ect. I am seeing my neuro tomorrow at noon.
My question is, what are cluster headaches like? I am having headaches in intervals throughout the day. They can range from a 5 on the pain scale to an 8, and last about two hrs. This has been going on for two days now. From what I understand cluster headaches are the most severe, and I have not felt a 10 on the pain scale. However, my neuro symptoms get worse when the headache is present, and even tho the headache goes away briefly, the neuro symptoms are a constant.
I have had CT, MRI, MRA, ultrasound of the jugular vein, ect and am clear, except for some "white matter" in the brain.
I am on hormone replacement, smoke, mad have MTHFR, which from my reading can " increase" stroke risk.....
Anyone have any ideas if all this sounds like cluster? I have thought that I may have hemipalgic ,ingrained, due to my left sided weakness and eye droop. Is it possible to develop both types of migraine?
