Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am a 35 year old male who rarely gets headaches. I don't feel stressed, work from home (I do hours and hours of work in front of my computer -I try to take breaks but I am sure I don't take as many as I should).
On 2/14, I woke up, running late, rubbed my left eye (probably too aggressive because I was rushing), it was a little hard to see for about 10 minutes, then I got this shooting pain above my left eye. I have never felt that before. I wondered if it was my first migraine because my mother used to get migraines.
I went back to bed and slept for two hours. Woke up and had a dull headache until about late 2/15. By 2/19, the dull headache came back. On 2/22, I saw my GP, he said it is probably sinuses -- even though I've had no congestion or runny nose. I normally get a sinus headache before or after summer. He gave me a shot of steroids and said I should feel better by the end of the day. If I didn't, he prescribed Fioricet. Neither worked. I only took one Fioricet and I didn't like the way it made me feel and I didn't work.
On 2/23, I saw the eye doctor - wondering if it was an eye issue because after rubbing my eye on 2/14, all of this started. The eye doctor said I have 20/20 vision and my eye pressure is good.
I am more than likely going to get an MRI/MRA or maybe a CT/CTA - but my GP is sure this is a tension headache. It's hard to focus at times, but the pain isn't extreme.
Tomorrow it will be two weeks since all of this started. Has anyone experienced this? I don't think this is a migraine. Could all of this be from too much work on the computer? If so, what medication do you recommend?
I would appreciate any help!
