Ok so 5 days ago, I had what I felt was like a hypoglycaemic attack coming on (I get those), except my blood sugar was completely normal amnd eating didn't take it away. Shaky, weak, feeling like I was underwater, disorientated. For the next 3 days, I experienced slight numbness over my entire body, changes in depth perception, slight confusion, feeling very weak, very light-headed, slurred speech. The symptoms went from manageable to where I was too light-headed to walk on and off throughout the next few days. Moving my head brought on more light-headedness. I have not felt normal at all during that time - very spaced out.
Then yesterday (day 4) I got the most almighty crushing headache. It felt like a bolt had been screwed between my temples, with occasional stabbing pain above my eye. I went to the doc's and he said it sounded like migraine. My bloods were normal and I'm not dehydrated. He prescribed full doses of solubale aspirin which did calm the headache down though did not get rid of it.
So, here I am today. I woke up with no headache so far. Still very spaced and feeling generally unwell. But I feel very 'delicate' if that makes sense, like I might get very ill again.
Does this sound like migraine? I haven't had nausea. I have no family history of migraine. Many years ago, I got concussion and ended up on daily codeine for a couple of years, as I would get migraines associated with post-concussive syndrome if I didn't take them, but I was able to discontinue that in 2008 as I was no longer getting them. I'm 33 now.
What should I do now? Keep taking the aspirin even if there's no headache? Expect it to get better or worse? Avoid anything? Do more of anything? I am supposed to work tomorrow and don't know if I'll be able to.
Any advice for insight would be great. Thanks.
