Daily headaches/migraines

My name is Nathan and I have had daily headaches or migraines, I'm not really sure which one, since june of this year. I have no idea what is causing it, nor do I know what kind of headache or migraine it is. When it first began the pain was just moderate. You know, just a small ache that was there. I figured it would go away eventually. A little over 2 months later with not much relief from the headaches, I went to the doctor. He diagnosed me with cluster headaches.. which left me wondering about it. He gave me high blood pressure medicine to help try to stop the headaches from occuring so frequently and he also gave me fioricet to help with the pain.
It worked for a few days. However, I quickly realized that they were getting progressively more painful. My wife and my parents informed me that it could be the blood pressure medicine making them worse, so I stopped taking it. It helped a little, but then the fioricet stopped relieving my pain. So, I went back and told him the situation. He prescribed me the same thing, Fioricet. However, this time he added codeine. It does help after I take two. Sometimes, it doesn't take long and sometimes it does. It isn't every day that I get these headaches/migraines, but they are pretty frequent.
My only problem is that I don't really know what is causing it. I know that migraines do run in my family, but I've never really had daily headaches before. The doc assured me that if he thought it were a lot more serious than it appeared to be, he would recommend a specialist. However, I just crave the information of what is really going on. Every thing that I research often ends up nowhere and leaves me concerned because of all of the "life-threatening" mentions that I often find. It's always bad when you look on the internet for symptoms, I know. I'm just looking for information, anything that can help me find some kind of relief from my worry. Is there anyone else that can relate to what I am talking about? Do I have chronic daily headaches/migraines? As I mentioned before, I was diagnosed with cluster headaches. I was skeptic when he said that because I read about cluster headaches before and those are like the worst type of headache to get. I'm not sure if I have cluster headaches or not, though..

I would caution against taking certain drugs. Doctors love to write prescriptions.
I was suffering from chronic migraines for 6 years. I believe the Naproxen and triptans I was prescribed by a Neurologist caused me to have throat ulcerations that I now have to deal with.
My ENT has me on Clarinex and occasional Fluticasone. The headaches reduced dramatically, and now are only 1 every few months. This is in comparison to 1 every other day, like clockwork for the past 6 years!
Unfortunately, I now also have to take Prilosec until I figure out this throat issue.

Ive had a headache 12days today its not as bad as it was i had a viral throat infection which i still have Cos my lymph node in neck is stickin out and to top it off i have a ear infection seen doctors near enough everyday and they marked it down as stress
