Two weeks ago, I tried to clean my ear with peroxide. It went terribly wrong somehow (whcih I'm not sure of hoe since many people do this and have no negative effects) and have had HORRIFIC, tickling & pulsating-feeling headaches ever since. Before this, I was fortunate and maybe had 3-4 mild headaches a year, not the near-constant pain and tingling I'm currently experience. The pain started right behind my right ear for about 24 hours and then I felt it spread throughout the brain. Now it's mostly at the back of my neck and the very top of my head. I went to an ENT today and they have absolutely no idea why I had this reaction and they didn't even try to help.
How are the brain and ear connected? Could ear trauma like this have damaging effects brain or cause something like meningitis or an aneurysm? Or could this be a source of chronic headaches? At this point, as long as the headaches aren't a signal for something worse, I'd feel okay.
