Hi everyone, new to the forum. I've had a headache since mid November (2 months now). After seeing a variety of doctors, allergists, ENTs, the neurologist finally concluded it's migraine and has scheduled me for an IV infusion next week to hopefully knock it out. It's a full day. Has anyone experienced this and want to share what it's like? Is it painful?
I'm desperate for relief - cannot believe it's been this long. I've also been on two rounds of prednazone (tapers), two rounds of antibiotics (in case it was a sinus infection -- it wasn't) and more painkillers than I can count. Neuro also prescribed Immitrex (triptan) and I tried that the past two nights but it doesn't help. And Topamax for when I finally get relief and can prohibit the next one from coming.
Any insight at all from anyone who has experienced this is helpful. I am at my wit's end and feel like crying. I have a fulltime job and a young child to care for and it's SO HARD!!!!
