Hi everyone I'm a 34yr old male and I've been getting migraine with ora since my late teens.
When they started they where so painful I just wanted to knock myself out, I was sick, felt like I was gonna die I've never known a pain like it since and trust me I know pain all too well :(
I had a bad bike crash in 2006, kept in a coma for 2 weeks because of a head injury and lossed the use of my right arm which causes cronic pain itself but that's another story.
Since I had that head injury the migraines are still fairly frequent 2-6 a month but not as painfull so it kinda did me some good bouncing off a transit van lol
I've been taking Pizotifen to try and prevent them but I seem to get just as many as when I don't take them but these days I get the ora and for 15-30 mins my vision is a bit of a mess but then it'll lift and I get very little to no pain most times as long as I don't bend over if I do it throbs like crazy for a second or two other than that I just feel slow and unmotivated after an attack.
Today at about
noon I had the ora but after I laid down for an hour it lifted and now I just feel a bit fuzzy, I haven't taken the Pizotifen for more than 30 days so I doubt very much that any of that will still be working so I'm quite confident that the migraine are finaly begining to ease off.
Like I said before when I am taking the Pizotifen I seem to get just as many so I'm looking to try a differnt method of preventing them as I've lost faith in the Pizotifen to be honest.
If you've had similar migraine would you mind telling me what meds have worked for you please?
Thanks everyone
