I was dx with chronic migraines 4 years ago, just regular migraines (but a LOT of them). I'm sorry you are going thru so much. Just curious, have any of the meds helped at all? What are you hoping to get out of the docs/ER visits? I guess what I mean is, do you know of other treatments that you want them to be trying? Or are you hoping the docs will come up with something new?
Is your depression being treated? Sounds like you may not want to add more meds to the mix for the depression (and insomnia). I understand. I take (at last count) 22 different meds, many of them multiple times a day. Very frustrating! But there are some therapists that specialize in treating people who have chronic illnesses, maybe that would help. I know my therapist and I have pretty much focused most of our sessions (at least over the past 6 months) on the medical stuff and how it impacts my quality of life and how to deal with it. Has helped keep me afloat during the hard times.
I know that in some ways I can identify with what you're going thru, but in other ways, I cannot imagine your pain and frustration. HealingWell has been a lifeline. Sure, sometimes it takes longer than I want to get responses, and some responses aren't so helpful, but for the most part they are. It's good to find other people who can relate, offer advice and support, and sometimes just be there to listen.
I really hope you continue to post (maybe even try the depression forum) and that you get some relief & answers soon!
