Hi, I hope I can find some answers on this forum.
For about six weeks I've been dealing with what I consider a low-grade headache, and I don't usually get headaches, really. The doctor thought it was a sinus infection and gave me a course of antibiotics, but it really hasn't cleared up. I also got tested for lots of other things, some nasty, because some blood counts were low at the time...but are back up to normal now.
Still, I have this constant low-grade headache, some ringing in the ears, perhaps the slightest bit dizzy. Going for a brain MRI in three days...which bummed me out. The doctor doesn't like the fact that it's been six weeks and wants to investigate further.
The pain I think is in the front of my head, and at the base of the skull. All I can say is it sure FEELS like a virus does, you know, when you're coming down with something. It's that "buzzy" feeling but in my case not going away. I would say maybe getting a little worse past few days. No other body symptoms except maybe sore neck.
I guess I'm looking for someone to tell me to not expect the worst from the MRI, or if anyone had a similar experience. I've been round-and-round with doctors eliminating things like lymphoma and chronic fatigue and mono and other things. And like I said, I don't have a lot of experience with headaches.
Thanks.
