I've been to multiple doctors about this, and none of them can quite explain what this is. They often tell me "It's probably anxiety" but I know that it's not. Regardless of whether I'm stressed or feeling great, this throbbing will occur.
100% of the time when I wake up, I'll feel it. It's like a brief, painful throb on the right side of my head, somewhat near my temple. Throughout the day, I'll feel it throb occasionally. It's painful, but nothing debilitating. Whenever it occurs, it brings me down and makes me anxious. It doesn't feel right. It feels like blood is pooling up, then being pushed through an artery after it pools up a certain amount. I'm also very sure it's in my scalp, and not my head. If I put my finger there, I can feel it pulsing and throbbing after the pain. It's really odd.
I've had a CT scan which came up clear, apart from a polyp in my maxillary sinus. I also have a middle ear infection, high blood pressure and potentially chronic sinusitis. (Ever since my sinuses have started acting up, it's been much more apparent, but it was there previously)
Basically. I'm starting to get very nervous about this pain, since I'm very worried it's a 'temporal arteritis' But I'm only 19, so this really shouldn't be too much of a possibility ... It's just scary. I've had this for months, and I really want it to stop. It's the whole root of my anxiety. I feel great when it's not there, but the second it appears, it really brings me down and wrecks my mood. It's scary, and very uncomfortable.
