I have had severe migraines that I could not pinpoint for several months, until I went to see a neurologist. He prescribed to me Amitriptyline and Propranolol, and told me that it was due to my Trigeminal Nerves. The medicines are barely helping, and I am still getting migraines daily. I take fioricet at the onset to help, which it only does about half the time.
What I'm failing to understand is this: in telling me that it was due to my trigeminal nerves, was I being told that I have trigeminal neuralgia? I am trying to do research on my condition in order to locate an eventual coping mechanism, and I'm not sure what I even have.
Can anyone explain? Many thanks if you can!
