I haven't had migraines in a very long time. But this week I have had the worst headache.
(I was taken off morphine and down to oxycodone,) but the headache is now different.
I have SEVERE pains when I do things like go to the bathroom, bend over, cough, sneeze, if my pulse increases I feel every beat in my head, and when I wake up its very bad.
The pain will eventually go away if I am still, breathe and don't do the above mentioned things.
Monday I had severe stomach pain w/ no headache, Tuesday- full blown migraine and nausea, Wednesday-headache that ice, heat and an oil i use would help for a bit and less nausea; but last night, and upon waking and when I "strain" or any pressure in my head the pain is literally unbearable for a few seconds, then sore.
Its in what I call the frontal lobe area of my brain and the top middle. It literally feels like nerves/vessels in my brain are about to burst then go down...I can't describe it well.
I obviously know not to do the triggers but I can't even fully have a BM or pick up something off the floor without severe pain. How do you treat this kind of head pain/ache? Meds don't do a thing.
Do you think its just related to the stopping of morphine only?
The pressure makes me think its more than just a withdrawal symptom. No sinus pressure, or congestion of any kind. I also have bad ringing in my ears.
thanks for any advice.
