New to world of HEAD HURTING- my right side ONLY for past 3 weeks

Help... as I sit here and try not to cry as I know that will bring on a different kind of pain.

I am 32 years old. I am a mom of 3 kids, 2 dogs, 2 turtles and a rabbit. I work full time and am President of Auxiliary to the VFW for Post 889 and District 1 of Idaho. My husband has PTSD - so I have a crazy life... I have had this crazy life for 4 years. Now all the sudden 3 weeks ago I get woke up from sleep with this unbearable pain.

I missed a week of work with my head hurting. At 1st I couldn't pin point where the pain was coming from. went to doc - got some shot and told that I am now suffering from migraines. Was prescribed maxalt. 2 days later went back in given another shot and hydro's. I asked to see a neurologist but that isn't happening until 9/22/15...ugh.

I am in so much pain. My doc called me in Topamax to gradually increase to proper dose, while popping hydro's and maxalt. Through all of that my head RIGHT side only hurts. NONSTOP... Some points of the day it is a dull pain other points is like it is right now sharp and feels weigh bearing - makes me dizzy and nausea ( mind you I have been sitting and typing - that is it).

What in the world is going on? What can this be? What should I do?

Could be a number of things triggering the migraines, flouresent lights, tension, pinched nerve in your neck. Or a combo of this. Could you be allergic to the RABBIT or any of the dogs, any have long hair and a downy coat?>

Woman can get horomonal migraines as their body changes...

IS the pain starting behind your right eye , than this would not be a pinched nerve, this is classic migrain. Lights in your office may be the trigger.

I don't think I help, just gave you move to look at. But that is how it is in the beginng

We've had the rabbit 4 years. The dogs 1 we've had 5 years, one 6 months - that one German Shepherd. I know I'm not allergic to him as my mom used to raise them for service dogs and I've been around them and other long haired indoor and outdoor animals my whole life. - that was the 1st thing we (my husband and I ) looked into.

At times I feel pain behind my right eye but most of the time it feels behind my ear or top of my head. The strange thing is that the pain has NOT stopped. Even taking pills.
Topamax mixed with a hydro relieves enough pain for me to sleep for a few hours then I am woke up with full on pain attack.

Not sure if that detail helps you to help me
