Hi everyone! I hope I can get some insight/advice as to what might be going on.
A little over a month ago I started getting headaches and lower back aches, seemingly out of the blue. They started pretty minor and then got worse. It felt like a typical tension headache, pressure around the front of my head/temple area. Sometimes just a few a day, other times it would be on and off all day long. **This is the first time I have experienced headaches and otherwise am a healthy 27yo female.
I did go to the Dr. & they stated it was just tension and to take some OTC pain reliever. We don't usually take medicine unless it's natural/homeopathic, so I took some homeopathic migraine tabs and they didn't help at all.
Well, the headaches went away, almost completely and a new pain developed in the back of my head/neck on the left side. At first it felt like "nerve" pain, almost like if you eat something really cold and it makes your teeth hurt, but in the back of my neck. The pain in my neck now sometimes covers the entire lower back portion of my head, where head/neck meet. It's pretty constant pain. When I go to sleep I'm fine and when I wake up I'm fine. about 30 minutes after waking up the pain comes back. It's worse when I bend over, cough, shake my head or strain.
I went to urgent care the other day and they prescribed me a muscle relaxer & said they didn't know what it could be. I have a follow-up appointment with my Dr. next week where they *hopefully* will run some tests so we can get to the bottom of this. It's very concerning and is really starting to worry me.
Any advice, similar experience, anything would be helpful!
Thank you!
