Facial Pain - Migraine versus Sinusitis

I have been having severe pounding headaches that follows with pain in the bridge of my nose and the doctors are trying to figure out what is going on. I always just assume that I have a sinus infection and run for antibiotics. But lately I have noticed that I get a severe pounding headache the day before the facial pain. I don't have congested sinuses or coloured mucus. In fact I never think it is to do with my sinuses until the next day or so when the facial pain arrives.

This time we had a major wind storm that coincided with my headache. And my Mom and brother get migraines. My Mom gets the aura's. So now the doctors are wondering if they are actually migraine headaches rather that sinus infections.

But why would I have pain only on the bridge of my nose? I do have the pounding headache on the sides of my head and forehead to begin with but it always migrates to my nose after....

I'm so confused and just want the pain to go away. Does anyone else get this?
