I stumbled upon a post on this forum YEARS ago and it made me wonder.
For 5 years, I've had tingling and itching in my temporalis/temporal muscle above my left ear. It feels full or tingly, sometimes pressure, sometimes a dull ache. Two neurologists couldn't figure it out and don't seem too interested. Sometimes I'll go months with no symptoms but lately I've been under increased stress and the weird feelings come and go daily (and wake me up at night), sometimes every hour or more.
It *seems* to be somewhat positional, especially if I'm in a head forward position. I'm wondering if tmj dysfunction is messed up in this too, because sometimes it's worse with chewing. It all started after I had a panic attack in which I clenched my teeth very very tightly.
anyone with input, I'd REALLY appreciate it. It kind of freaks me out. I'm waiting on an MRI.
