this year I went to the ER with the worst H/A of my life and a temp of 39.6. Long story short they did a LP which took 4 attempts but it was not Bacterial Meningitis, I was given pain meds for my H/A and told to treat the fever. 2 days later I went back because I ended up with a Post lumbar H/A..that was treat with a blood patch. The head minimized and I was sent home again. 5 days after the massive headache and fever came back, I was admitted and told that they believe it was aseptic meningitis I had, so they kept me for a week to treat the H/A..this basically went on the month of Jan.
Here I am now the end of Feb and I am STILL experiencing H/A daily that will decided to evolve into a migraine whenever it decides to. I have noticed that my memory has changed meaning I sometimes get a 'mental block', short term memory is sometimes a problem etc. They did an MRI of my brain when I was in the hospital and it was clear THANKFULLY!!
My concern is, why would I continue to have these H/A EVERYDAY, the memory issues, dizziness sometimes?? The Neurologist I saw in the hospital is away and I am unable to get an appt until April 1.
But, this is all too much and I am scared to death that there might be something wrong that was missed.
As I am sitting here typing this my head is killing, even my jaw hurts as well as my neck down into in between my shoulder blades. I have 40mg of Relpax but it doesn't seem to help take it away completely...
Has anyone else EVER had a problem like this or have ANY ADVICE??? All I want to do is cry all day(which I can't do cuz it makes HA worse) but I have to work to pay my bills and take care of my responsibilities but it is a daily struggle!!!
ANY ADVICE WOULD BE HELPFUL!!! Thank you!!! CG
