Hello everyone. I am new to the board but felt I really need to talk to others about this subject. I suffered a very strange episode Friday morning. I was sitting at my desk and started feeling a weird dizziness. As it progressed; I could not sit up without falling forward and to my left. Gradually lost total control of my left arm and leg. Could not stand up using my right leg so I ended up falling onto the floor on my left side. Took a bit; but finally pulled myself onto my right side and was able to pull myself to the phone. By the time I crawled there I had started regaining the use of my right arm. Then my leg gradually came back to full use. My equalibrium was off for about another hour but was able to motivate. I didn't have a migraine that I knew of at the time but did have an episode (possible retinal migraine) the day before where the sight in my right eye went completely black. I've suffered migraines since I was about ten years old. In my younger days the pain was so severe that I would always vomit. As I got older I was able to manage them fairly well. I'm 45 now and very seldom have the painful migraines but do have painless ones that cause aura's and such. It just seems odd that all of a sudden I had this episode out of the blue. Without reading back on the board; has anyone else had this happen after basically "growing out" of their migraine stage?
