WHAT TESTS DO I NEED TO HAVE DONE ?

G'DAY THIS IS MY VERY FIRST POST! THIS MAY SOUND STRANGE BUT I HAVE BEEN SUFFERING THESE BLOODY HEADACHES FOR AROUND 12 YEARS AND HAVE EVEN BEEN TAKEN TO HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE AFTER PASSING OUT IN THE SHOWER AND NONE OF THE MANY DOCTORS I HAVE SEEN HAVE EVER DONE ANY TESTS OR HAVE EVEN PUT ME ON ANYTHING STRONGER THAN ASPRIN. I AM FED UP I GET SIMPTOMS LIKE NUMB FACE, BLIND SPOTS IN MY EYES, SLURED SPEECH, UNCOODINATION IN MY LEGS AND NOT TO MENTION THE BLINDING PAIN. I AM SURE YOU ALL GET THESE SIMPTOMS AND I AM GREATFULL TO GET TO SPEAK WITH OTHERS THAT SHARE THE SAME TERRIBLE ILLNESS. I WOULD LOVE IT IF SOME OF YOU WOULD ENLIGHTEN ME WITH THE TESTS THAT I SHOULD HAVE DONE AS I AM GOING TO THE DOCS THIS TIME AND DEMANDING SOMETHING BE DONE!!!! THANKS FOR YOUR TIME

Hi Chez,

Welcome to Healing Well. I have deleted your other post as it is just a repeat of this one. I am sorry that your are suffering so much. You need to get yourself referred to a Neurologist who is a Headache Specialist as soon as possible, who will decide what tests need to be done! They will probably start with an MRI and blood tests to rule out any other factors.

Migraine/Headache does not show up on MRI, but this is usually done to rule stuff out! So hopefully the tests will come up clear. I wish you all the best with this, please let us know how you get on.

Just one small point, I hope you don't mind me saying, that the use of capital letters denotes shouting on these forums so I would respectfully ask you do not post in capitals - thank you!
