My husband has gotten migraines since he was about
15 years old. Sometimes they come with pain and sometimes they do not. He is otherwise healthy. He is a professional athlete and therefor in great shape. He has an MRI about
10 years ago that was normal.
The way the Migraine usually starts is he starts feeling "spacey". His fingers start to go numb on the left side, starting with the pinky finger. He then loses his peripheral vision and sees squiggly lines and lines of light. Yesterday, he got pretty bad amnesia. He could not remember what a hot dog was!! I mentioned a hot dog and he says "what is a hot dog?" I had to go get a pack of them and show him. It sounds funny but was really scary for me. He had trouble carrying on conversations for the rest of the day. Is this stuff all normal for a migraine? I am worried and I don't know much about headaches. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
