So I wore a cervical neckbrace for 3 weeks and it helped me to be pain free for the most part. Oh what a great feeling! I still had muscle spasms in my neck and shoulders, but no pain, no migraines! I have been out of the brace for about
2 weeks. I still wear the brace overnight. Well, lately I have been hurting again. I slowly have been having less pain free days since. The headaches are all tension headaches and the muscle spasms are bad. The only medication I am taking is Tramadol and Zanaflex when I need it, which is always, but since it makes me sleepy I usually only take it at night.
Before I stoped going to my Pain doctor because he just wanted me to keep giving me injections that never worked, his next step was going ot be trigger point injections. I have had epidural corisone injections, medial branch block, and a rhizotomy (burning of my nerve endings in my neck). I had a dream about getting the tirgger point injections, so the intuitive me is telling me maybe that is what I need to get better 100%. What do you think? Can they help me?
Yes, the neck brace worked, but it is not something I can wear forever. At this point no one wants to really help me. Well, its more like they say they can't help me since they can't find anything wrong. Other than spondylosis, mild disc degeneration disease, and the loss of my cervical curve. of course they say that is not what is causing my pain. I know I won't be hurting forever.
