Gary and Mojo, thanks for all the info... I am really lousy at "diet" things... I have to adapt an eating pattern and make it my new thinking. Recently my dr actually suggested I get breads, potatoes and such back in my diet... I'd cut them out in favor of just proteins, fruits etc... and then the junk food cravings. But she said I needed more balance to keep the acid down in my system, gotta work on that I guess. I've had the 6 meals suggested too but I gotta get over the idea that I'm grazing all day! :) I've been really focusing on the protein thing these last couple days and today was good...no sleepiness this afternoon... Lots of good info here, thank you!
Mojo, I've been trying to work up to Pilates, have never gotten the hang of Yoga, too slow for me I think, feels like I'm doing nothing, but I used to do Tai Chi and I liked it and would like to take back up at some point... most of it has to fit a crazy schedule and demands of two jobs etc... so now my goals are to ride my stationary exercycle (it has the forward motion of the arms too)at least a mile a day and build from there. That sounds so wimpy compared to what I used to do in the Scouts (backpacking, hiking 10-15miles, canoeing 50 milers, horsebackriding etc) but it's a serious stamina issue now. Thanks for the invite on the email, I'll take ya up on that. :)
