Nonphysical MS stuff

pain here, cramps there, listing to one side or another, eye stuff... all, unfortunately part of ms. at times, however, it all comes crashing down causing me to plummet into the depths of depression and isolation. have found myself there again and it hurts as much as the ants biting my leg. came crashing down on me that i have an incurable illness forever. threw fear on my ever having a future doing anything. yes, i take wellbutrin, cymbalta and my favorite seroquel. nothing seems to be helping much. lot of trouble sleeping. cognitive troubles galore... like ran red light without knowing why, forgetting what i'm looking for... yes, have these usually, but more so now and different symptoms. couldn't walk part of a day last week because left (ms) leg was totally numb. none of the symptoms are all the time, nor do they last. some, like the aants just pass through, but lately they're all over both arms, my neck, face and non-ms leg, but not all at once and not for a long time. sigh. does it ever get better, not worse? linda

I'm so so sorry for how u'r feeling! I know how hard depression can hit and how badly it hurts. beyond the physical that u can somehow seem to manage thru, u just can't seem to get away from or always manage thru u'rself..depression. We all need others to help us. I do. John brought up an excellent point. Please do join us for chat tonight. It is fun, yes, but also theraputic. It does the spirit such good to talk. We are here to support u friend. Please do lean on us and if u can, just come talk to us. Yes, in time many do find that these symptoms do improve. There is hope. Hang on sweet friend. U are not alone.

Hi !!!!  I'm Peg and if you ever need to chat just give me a time and I will be there if possible.  If I can't be there at that time we will FIND TIME.  Feeling rotten is miserable. I know.  Talking helps one to forget and helps in getting back to feeling better.  We can go into the MS chat room and just air out whatever we need to air out.  It doesn't have to be Monday or Posting.  We can go there anytime we want.  This HealingWell Site is a great place to come anytime and to find support is ALWAYS a must.

thank you all so much for your understand and comforting words. you made me realize that the only thing permanent about this disease is having it, not the symptoms. did call neuro who told me that he has had more calls lately than ever before because of the wild swings in weather hitting us in the northeast. rode out the psych stuff after venting about it. symptoms continue to crop up, but i ride them out w/silly tv or book and pain pills. went to playoff of our aa minor league baseball team, trenton thunder, last night. was okay until into the 7th inning when both legs acted up w/feelings of veggie peeler taking off layers of skin, etc. walked like i was totally drunk. again, friends came thru for me and helped me get up some stairs without falling. it all comes down to friends being the best medicine for ms. symptoms come and go, but special people are always there. linda
