Hey Everyone!

It's that time of year again where we all declare our better selves. We are going to lose that weight we've added in the last ten years....we are going to add or improve exercise routines....we are going to stop smoking....whatever it is. What's u'rs?? It's so interesting to me to see what improvements/changes others feel they need to make...very very often they are the same as mine! Funny how small the world can become with friends, huh? So if u feel up to it, share u'r New Year's Resolutions with us! Who knows...we may also be attempting the same resolution.

Mine? I intend to spend more time making my home and family stronger. That is my resolution for the last 5 years and so far it's working....i think. Of course there is that secret plan to lose those extra pounds. I WILL do it this year! There is also that secret plan to turn back the clock about 5 or 6 years thru my diet...i WILL do that one too. hmmmmm....so i have three! hehehe....can we do that??

Well this thread is getting a lot of attention huh?  My new year's resolution is to remain positive about my life and all it entails.  I want to spend as much time with my family and friends as possible.  I will try to not sweat the small stuff.  I am going to make a real effort to go no dairy and low gluten just to see how I feel on it.  Both of those are suppose to trigger a lot of inflammation in the body.  I have been no dairy for a while now......it is not hard but I am not seeing any real benefit from it.  Low gluten will be harder.  There is NO good bread substitute.  I have found a yummy pasta though that has no gluten in it.  Oh well.....I will let you know if I feel any different on low gluten.

Good resolutions! I don't really tend to make New Year's resolutions, per se, but I have already been trying to work on exercise and diet, so I will keep on with that. I will also work on finding positive things in my life, as well as making sure I don't pass up opportunities to laugh, whenever possible. smilewinkgrin

I agree with Gretchen on trying not to sweat the small stuff.  I have definetly over done the sugar this holiday season, but now that I am feeling better I am going back to walking a mile a day at least and getting back in to the swing of healthier things.  I am going to also consentrate on what works for me and not worry about what doesn't work (example rebif).  I will give it all a try and do my best.  That is all anyone can do.  One day at a time.  Happy New Year to everyone.

I love you guys! You are really great! My New Years Resolution is to try and keep working the entire year! I think I owe that to my wife as she works so hard to keep us afloat the way my Medical Bills are!   cry    I have had 5 MRIs in just over 2 years and they aren't cheap as you all know! Also, any of the MS Treatments aren't cheap either so I will try to keep working so I will have Insurance to help pay my Medical Bills!   turn   Happy New year everyone! May all of us have a very successful 2009!

My resolution is to not eat liver, brussel sprouts, or lima beans. rolleyes Seriously, I need to work on being more patient with others and myself.

My major hope is to keep up with my expanded volunteering at local rehab. centers. I visit people and offer prayer or just talk. it is very fulfilling, but sometimes my ms slows me down. Instead, I will give it all I've got and remember how energized making these visits make me. I also want to have more patience with people concerning my ms and my abilities. linda

My resolutions are to try to lose some lbs-with an emphasis on try! Also to try to find something fulfilling to do that helps others, spend time with my father who is in ill health and try (again) to keep my job (as bad as it can be I need the paycheck). I also want to read more-there's nothing like a good book to help you forget your troubles! I have already fulfilled one New years resolution-to find a group of kind people that have similar issues and understanding-and this forum has sure helped in the short time I have been a member. Hey All,
Good thread My resolutions are to try and be totally healthy with my Diet, exercise, vitamin therapy and positive thinking. I have been slacking so bad that i am doing it whaat ever it takes. I feel so much better when i watch what i put in my body and when i exercise. Why is it so hard to stay with it?
Well we'll see. I ordered a yoga tape for beginners and i am going to GNC today to replenish my vitamin supply Its a start
