Hey Everyone,

     Been working alot.   Still trying to settle into new house.  Winter stinks....  Have had enough...  LOL  All yours Rhonda, sending it your way....wait can't jet stream doesn't go that way to often.....  

     So, I have an eye thing going on.  No, its not ON.  It seams that my whole upper eye lid flutters with a feeling of numbness when it happens.  It does it about six times an hour and lasts about 5 minutes.  But within that 5 minutes it turns on and off every 10 seconds.  VERY annoying.  Of course this would be in my good eye.  Other than that, i can't complain I guess.

  I saw the Headache Speacialist ( Glorified Neorologist ).  He was very nice, and says I suffer from Cronic Migraine w/ and w/o Aura.  He upped my Gabapentin ( Neurotin ) 300 mg 3 times a day.  Hydroxizine for my mild headaches.  Hydroxizine  with fenergan for my moderate ones.   Then, for my severe migraines, he put me on Migrinanal....spelling....  Its a nasal spray, and then at the same time take a fenergan.....  Alls I want is one day without a headache....  We shall see how it all goes. 

     I try to come to monday chats but usually show up on Tues, Wed, Thurs......Either way I tend to not make it LOL.  I wanted to leave a note, and say I found the edge of the world, but no, I did not fall off.........

Hey Bonnie!!!

Whew!!...i've been worried about u girl!! Im so glad u held on tight and didn't fall off...that can be a slippery slope! I'm sorry to hear of u'r migraines...they can be murder! Take good care of u'rself on that and don't let it get the best of u. On the eye thing...i suspect that will be one of those annoying ms reminders. I'm sorry...i know it's frustrating, but hang in there friend...sometimes as unexpectedly as they come they also leave. One other thing....go ahead and send me that winter weather...it's already getting hot here again! It was 77 today!! Geesh..talk about unpredictable!

Hey Bonnie,

It was great to talk to you again last night in chat.  We have missed you a lot.  Please come back and tell us stories!!!!  You are our favorite EMT ever!!

Good luck with the migraines.  I am very sorry you are suffering so much.  I am such a whimp when it comes to headaches.  Those can really take it out of you.  Come back and say hi when you can.

OMG Where do I start..  At the beginning I guess.. 

On June 3rd 2008, I was wisked away in a ambulance.  I was recieving steroids for a flare, and was having severe difficulty breathing.  I don't remember must of what im going to tell you, actually i dont remmber any of it.  I was admitted to the hospital, and while i was in there i had to be intubated and flown by helicopter to a better hospital. 

 I was in the ICU for 7 days, 5 of them on a ventilator.  Was very scary waking up there when the last thing you remmber is being at your house.  It was concluded that I am in fact allergic to steroids. 

OMG  So now if I flare I must just go through the dang thing.  I got out of the hospital weeks latter in a wheel chair and use of a walker.  Between June 3rd and today I have had 5 Flares. 

OMG  I have had to use a seat in the shower and alter the house a bit.  I will say today I am walking unassited except for a cane every now and again.  I have now been put on Betaseron.  I was allergic to Copaxone, my liver started failing on the rebif...  now I am waiting to see what this beta will do to me. 

 I would have gotten on sooner to let you all know but I have had a life altering experience.  I am no longer working....  And my docters have made me apply for disability...  just went and saw there psych docter and now I wait.  I really do miss talking with all of you.  I know you all have questions now after reading this. 

I am on Betaseron, Lyrica, Baclofen, Vicoprofen, Advil,

BONNIE!!!!

OHMYGOSH!!!! I can't believe what i've missed in u'r life! My girls go back to school on tues...i will be trying to call u that day. Ok?? I hope u'll be able to join us at chat tomorrow night. It's so good to hear from u, but i'm so sorry to hear of all that's been happening. I remember that the last we spoke u'd been in the hosp with the steroids, but u've been a busy girl since! Take care and don't be a stranger!

Yikes Bonnie, I am so very sorry you’ve been having such a rough time :-(. It sounds like you’ve been through a really scary period, and I hope the betaseron calms things way down for you, and you are able to tolerate it. I’m really glad you posted this update so we can support you, and I definitely hope to see you in chat sometime soon.

Holy moly Bonnie!!!

Wow girl!! You have been to the edge of the world and in my opinion you DID fall off.......but somehow with that spirit of yours, you have managed to climb back up!!  You are such an inspiration.  So I suppose I am not surprised that you are allergic to steroids since you were so so reactive to copaxone.  Just try and remember that the 'roids aren't a treatment, they just help you feel better.  I am sorry and glad you are applying for disibilty....you certainly have earned it!!!  I do hope that goes smoothly for you and that you are approved the first time around for that. 

I am praying for you and I hope you are feeling better very soon.  Please don't be such a stranger.  As you can see, we have all missed you.

Bonnie, Im New here But I wanted to Tell You That I Agree You ARE indeed An INSPIRATION To Me Deffinatly & Others Im Sure. Im So Glad You Got thru that Hospital Stay! Im Sorry Your Eyes & Miraines Are Causing You More Pain & worry. Ever Notice You Usually Need More Rest & Sleep after Being in the Hospital,Not a GOOD Place to Rest At All. Im So SORRY You Were so Sick .I Know It`s Very Scary to be that Sick & Not Remember Anything. You wake Up Usually with a start & Look Around thinking Where am I -How & When Did I Get Here?? Take Care & Be Safe. I Hope Your Meds Start Working & that You Have No More Allergic Reactions to anymore Of Them. For Today & You- " My Hero,Need Some Emcouragement? Hi,

Sounds like STRESS. Have you thought about some alternative therapies? I'm not real big on med's. Meditation, Massage, and just plain taking good care of yourself, and eating a diet big on fruits, veggies, grains and very little meat.

This has REALLY helped for me.
