I have been dealing with MS for a few years now and have generally kept it to myself. I do feel it is important to talk with others - others that actually know what it's like, so here I am. I'm on Avonex, and Cymbalta and Soma for spasms. I lost my job when they found out about the MS, although they denied this of course. My job was excruciatingly demanding, so it's for the best anyway. I'll be visiting this site when I can, and just pick up a little here and there....it is great to read what others have posted and I understand! I have felt so alone. It is time to reach out to others. Thank you ! blush

Hi there!  I completely agree with you.  I have been dealing with MS a few years also (only dx. last year though) and reading the posts here helped me to feel less alone.  Although I haven't posted in awhile I just wanted to let you know that this site and everyone on it is very helpful.  It's just so nice to talk to someone who is going through the same things or at least similar things.  I am also on Avonex, and Neurontin and Flexeril if needed.  Take care of yourself, Kathy

Thank you all for your replies! I very much appreciate that you took the time to respond to me. I find it very encouraging. I am still clinging a bit to "hiding" but I will get better as time goes by. If I can participate in the live chats, I will. I've been putting a few hours each evening on a file room project, so I'd need to arrange my schedule a bit. It sounds like a great opportunity though.
