Not sure what to do....Help please

Hi,

I'm new to this site as of today.  As i sit here typing, i am having to delete and retpye every other character (totally not normal for me).  I have had numbness for the last 2 weeks starting in my left hand moving up my arm to  my neck and face.  then it started in my foot and leg, now it is in my left buttock and back. 

The fatigue i have experienced for over a year and it has gotten very bad in the last 3 months.  some days i can hardly make myself get out of bed to go to work.  the last couple of nights i have had back spasms in almost a belt type feeling just above L4.

Today, my speech has been slurred and the numbness more intense.  yesterday at work had a very tough time with feeling dizzy and nearly falling down. 

I was dx'd with fibro in feb of 2009.  last fall had similar symptoms to what im experiencing today.  been dx'd with depression...no wonder, huh.

I've had chronic pain for several years...has just gotten worse over the last year...unbearable some days.

I do have a neurologist that I have been referred to by my PCP...I'm just waiting for a call back to set an appt.

At the point I'm at today though, my family seems to think i need to go to the ER....I'm just tired and scared and frustrated....

Any thoughts?

I totally understand were you are coming from.   I am experiencing the same thing.  I use to be a whiz a multi tasking and typing and now just like you said can not type a sentence without having to correct something.  I go to UAB in September to the MS specialist  but feel like my symptoms are getting worse as I wait to go.  I also have fibromyalgia.  My neurologist has had me on prednisone since 070809, he keeps trying to taper but I can not handle the pain.  I responded to your posting as it seems like we are going through somewhat of the same thing.  MD thinking your crazy, depressed, etc.  I had a LP 4 yrs ago and it "was not positive enough", MRI was neg.  This year the MRI is + but he says it is only a little positive.  I do not know why he will  not start me on the medication but he will not.  I hope you have better luck.
