appointment

I saw my primary dr today.....since my neurologist refuses to call me back.. He is so good to me, I called him yesterday, told him i've been having migraines and there making my neurological symptoms worse. He told me to come in today, that he would accomodate me :). He started me on depakote as well as my inderal for the migraines. He said what i have is not anxiety, and that its def. neurological and still feels it is ms. Its comforting to know he believes me :) In the mean time, i will give the new medication a chance to work on my migraines and wait for my appointment with the specialist in november :)....

Hey, the specialist i am going to is a ms specialist. No lesions on brain with contrast, but i havent had c-spine with contrast yet, i had a regular c-spine in june of this year. I got a cold, just a little one, and im down for the count, starting to recover slowley. It difficult to explain the muscle spasms. They cramp--when they do, they make that extremity go numb. I feel very dehydrated even tho im drinking pleanty of water. I feel like im in a boat and trying to balance, fell in the dr's waiting room yesterday. If a little cold does this to me, what happens if i get a big cold.............sorry, just frusterated....thanks for listening :)

Can you have lesions on your t-spine?? Its been a number of months since my c-spine. Never had a t-spine. The actual cold isnt so bad, its what it does to me. Is this typical?? I find it strange how I just get a little cold then bam, migraines, decreased motor function. My sight is still not 100%--its far from that, kinda scary, its off, hard to describe, i have to be looking directly at something to see it, reading the computer screen is very difficult.. Im having a hard time recognizing weather or not im getting an aura for a migraine...I am not new to migraines, had them all my life, they are now different. I have to go to the eye dr to get more contacts. My eye sight is getting worse too i think. when i look at a clock or a neon sign, i see double. Just when you say to yourself it cant get worse, it gets way worse.......As far as flu season, hopefully people have been scared into getting the flu shot. As far as getting the cold/flu/stomach bug, very rarely do i get it. This cold that i've got currently, everyone had at work, they had to call in, fevers. I just got a runny nose and sore throat--I def made up for that with the neuro symptoms...hahaha.

I used to get migraines once or twice a year. Since Sept 3rd i've gotten 8 :(.. Im exausted, I know i have my appointment in November, but im not sure how much more I can take, im nervous now because my vision is affected, i see bright lights, double vision if i look at a neon clock, and kinda like tunnel vision, hard to descripe, have you heard of this??

ended up going to the walking today. My right hand went numb---not a little, i mean i could have shut it in the door and not felt it numb, then got another headache, couldnt balance myself, temors were terrible. My mom wanted to take me to the er, but who really wants to go there with a full blown headache, not to mention swine flu. So we took a trip to the walk in. She said i had a "wicked nystagmus". i was telling her about my symptoms, she said i have dead on symptoms for ms and should go to an ms clinic---i do have an appointment to go to one in a week and a half. I still have some residual numbness in my hand, but i can feel alot now, but my eye still hurts and i keep seeing white flashes of light in the corner of my eyes, as if someone was taking my picture..............
