shocked  Hi All, Im on here as my partner has been newly diagnosed!!! If anyone could help me and answere me, does it get any easier... or are we constantly living in fear that tomo she may not be able to walk or be in a wheel chair... She is so scared and So am I?? Does anyone have any advise??? Please???

I am sorry to hear of your partners recent diagnosis.  It does get easier.  Then it gets hard again, then it gets easier.  You will cycle through acceptance and then anger then dealing with issues this disease causes.  You will find courage you never knew you had.  This is a very difficult disease to come to terms with but you will both do that.  I promise it gets better.  I life doesn't have to be perfect to have joy. 

Please know you are welcome here and we will support you in your search for peace.  I am very glad you found us.

As Gretchen noted it does get better.  Your partner will most likely experience both physical and emotional ups and downs.  I have been dx for 2 1/2 years.  I still fear the unknown, but the fear does not consume me at all times.

As said before it does get better and worse all at the same time sometimes. STAND BY YOUR PARTNER that is the one thing you can do to really make a difference. The one thing for me is I have a hard time asking for help when I can't do something. Learn her limits and don't wait for her to have to ask for your help. I think the fear is normal its the fear of the unknown. God only gives us what we can handle and together you can fight this illness. God bless you both and I hope I have been of some help.
