I am not sure who or who has not seen this so I thought I would put up the news report. It is very interesting. I would hope that the "Main Stream" of medicine would at least give it a serious look but up until now it appears only a few have.

This is very interesting and raises alot of questions. I wonder if one of the reasons I am so cold all the time (borderline anemic) has to do with the iron in my blood is being collected in my brain instead of continuing into the blood stream to promote red blood cell production??

Anyone else cold????

Wow, this is really taking off on the research side. Quite a few researchers getting involved and some tests starting up. One in Buffalo NY.

Dave,

I am watching this just go crazy on other sites as well.  We seem to have more people asking questions about having MS rather than what is in the pipeline as treatments.  I am very excited to see what happens with this.  I am asking for imaging.  I want to know if I have venous strictures!  I want to know if I have them, do I have to wait for this to be an approved treatment?  Can I just ask for those to be treated just because?  Treating venous strictures is NOT new medicine.  I hope this gets fast tracked.

It is very exciting.

I now know of a couple people seriously looking into getting this treatment already (6-8 grand total). I am not sure I am ready to hop on that train yet but it is the most promising thing I have seen in some time.

It sure would be a blow to the pharmaceuticals, I am sure they are not behind it at all.

Looks like Vancouver and Saskatoon are going to get involved and start doing some research on this. But as they warned, the doctors will have to be taught how to perform this procedure so it woan't be breaking for a while yet. Don't forget, the dyes they have to inject for the procedure are not safe for everyone, they can have terrible effects on some people.

Hi-I suffer big time with the cold-not heat as many MS sufferers do. I have also been diagnosed with low iron-the doctors could never tell me why but now with this liberation finding it makes perfect sense-I do believe the iron in my blood is being housed in my brain and therefore not reading in the blood tests. I have yet to line up the MRI scan to find out if I do have the CCSVI. Does anyone know if this procedure is covered with extended medical?

   I also have these symptoms of being cold and would want to be tested for venous strictures. I will be seeing my specialist at the MS Clinic in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada.

Hopefully they will have more answers for us.
