Have any of you had these studies done? I went for a Neuro follow up today and was sent to have these along with a b12, full blood work up and another brain MRI (mo contrast). Just wondering if they are necessary or beneficially in a MS diagnosis.

yes, neccessary in proper diagnosis. not painful, but a little uncomfortable. don't worry about it. i had it a couple times.

The EMG and nerve conduction test aren't typical for MS. Both of those test the peripheral nervous system. MS is a disease of the central nervous system.

Evoked potentials is a test more typically used to test the functioning (or lack) of the central nervous system. I had evoked potentials for vision, hearing, and extremities.

How about B12 levels? There is a concern of low B12, and from what I've recently read on that, deficiency in B12 can simulate same or similar symptoms??

I don't know much about B12 defeciency. Hopefully that's all it is and you can resolve it quickly.

I have been diagnosed with MS for just over a year now, and my B12 was low upon initial diagnosis. My neuro prescribes a B12 shot-it was weekly at first but now I take it monthly. I love it, helps so much with fatigue.
