Hi! I'm new to the board. I am waiting to see if I will be diagnosed with MS. I have one a few lesions on my brain but none in my spine or spinal tap. I had optic neuritis or Nonarteritic or arteritic ischemic optic neuropathy as they are indistinquishable from a clinical standpoint.

I have had the 5 days solumedrol and am finishing my last week of 3 weeks of prednisone. I havent' seen my vision improve at all yet. Has anyone else not seen improvement until after they finish the prednisone. I have high blood pressure and the predinesone has contributed to that. Could that be keeping my vision blurry. I'm am hoping I get some of my vision back.

Hi there, and welcome to the board. I am not sure how long you have had your vision problems,  but if it is Optic Neuritis, it can last for a few days or for a few weeks.

Predinesone can leave you with many side effects:  increased appetite, nervousness, dizziness, and blurred vision. So it is difficult at this time to determine if your vision problems are due to the Predinesone, the optic neuritis or similar disorder, or both.

Has anyone ever heard of optic nerve compression?  If so is it related to MS?

I wish with all the technology that we have- an MS questioner would come along in order to have it answered and run through a compute. Then determine what MS is! To know true info will be the only way to find a cure.
