hello sorry to here about your misfortune going through similar thing with girlfriend just now. Lyme or ms we don't know yet. found your post interesting as my girlfriend reacts terribly with any form of steroids even creams. but in the mean time i have been doing lots of research on MS. You should get on pubmed and do some searching on there. there are a lot of good books on amazon also on MS, i have just ordered minding my mitochondria will let you know if helpful.
As for the pain my girlfriend have just started taking benfotiamine which is a supplement something to do with thiamin but its not thiamin. its meant to be good for nerve pain and is used in diabetic neuralgia. its only been one day so to early to say if its helping.
As for cannabis you should watch "run from the cure" on utube amazing. its about a guy who makes a concentrated cannabis extract and giving it away and curing all sorts of mad cancers and other incurable diseases.. Google rick Simpson. if your lucky enough to live in a place where medical cannabis is allowed try and get and yourself some of that. unfortunately in the uk such stuff is considered a class A along side krak cocaine, heroin and crystal meth. so we may have to travel to try this one out.
we are also looking into mercury as she has quite a few amalgam fillings and had had cosmetic dental work done were they would have had ground down some of the fillings down( with no form of protection against contamination.) this was shortly before she started going down hill.
also we are looking at Chlamydia Pneumoniae (CPN). this is worth researching into if you have time. go to http://www.cpnhelp.org/ as they have lots of great info on MS and CPN.
anyway hope this was help some help, this is my first post sorry no one had replied to you before hand.
quercertin, high levels of vitamin D, reservatol and curcumin seem to be helping so far( all seem to have anti inflammatory properties). any others please post
