You need to see a neurologist who specializes in MS. All the health issues you have experienced and shared here could indeed be causes by other factors, but the white matter lesions need to be carefully considered.
Many illnesses can cause lesions. Migraines cause lesions. You have a very long history of migraines so some doctors may not want to investigate further.
An MS specialist can do a very thorough exam of your nerve reflexes and responses. If you don't know of any MS specialists, then contact your local chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. They can put you in contact with local doctors who specifically diagnose and treat MS.
Pregnancy is considered neuro-protective. The hormones produced by the body often help prevent the progression of MS. After deliver, the hormone levels drop back down to normal. Many people who have MS experience a flare after childbirth. If you have MS, and obviously I cannot diagnose you, this could be why you have experienced issues following the birth of your children.
I am sorry to hear that your mother is no long able to walk. She has no diagnosis for this?! That is upsetting. I hope both of you can find answers and treatment for your health problems. Please keep us posted.
