This is going to be long, I apologize now. I have Hashimotos, but after my last daughter (18 mo) my pain changed from annoying, to crippling. I can not tell you how many appointments I have been to. The Dr. thinks I may have Lupus, as I do have some markers. However; I am started to wonder if I have MS. I think my journey is difficult as I do have other symptoms due to my Hashis, so I will list them all, and I would appreciate feedback. I hate to pay for an MRI as we have already used our FSA this year if they don't seem to fit. Also, I started Cymbalta, I requested it because I heard it may help with nerve pain, my pain level went from a 10+ to a 3, almost overnight. It has helped SO much, and generally only gets bad when I way over do it (like Easter weekend perhaps). RA and Connective tissue diseases have been ruled out. Okay, below are my "main" symptoms:
*Severe body pain, Left foot, right knee, hips, right shoulder, base of skull, some of the left shoulder, right elbow and hand
*burning sensation of the right arm, from the shoulder down to the hand, it would truly feel like it is on fire. The first time it happened I was feeling my arm for the flame(hasn't happened since starting cymbalta)
*Get very dizzy, particularly when giving my children baths and I stand up. I often have to brace myself on the counter and keep my head down to regain composure
*Shooting foot/leg pain in the morning particularly, sometimes after sitting for long periods. It usually would decrease in severity after a few steps, but for the first few steps, I would have to brace myself on the bed or desk etc. This same pain would take place when I step certain ways (backwards out of the car) (again, decreased with Cymbalta)
*Severe stabbing/sharp pain above my right leg. I had thought it was an ovary problem, but that has been ruled out, I mean, doubled over in pain sharp, but doesn't last long.
*Headaches, always headaches
*right arm has decreased strength. I am often times not able to open things when I am "flaring" water bottle? forget about it. I can't open anything with a cap when it is bad.
*some swelling around my ankles when in a lot of pain
*I have lost vision in one eye, but only once. I also have seen some floaters, but this is not often, pretty rare.
Anyway, that is all I can think of currently. Any thoughts/suggestions etc I appreciate it.
