Does anyone know of any literature which may address the possible connection between MS in relation to Epstein Barr Virus, CFS, Fibromyalgia, Major Depressive Disorder, and/or other mystery illnesses? I had EBV at 19 yo. Felt I may have had some form of CFS & Fibromyalgia since then (I'm 63 now), and have definitely had MDD ever since EBV. I have had both brain & neck MRI's this week and will see the neuro doc on Monday for the results. I'm just trying to gather information that might help me find relevant questions to ask. I initially went to neuro for what I believe is Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia in my face/mouth brought on by a dental procedure. I believe the nerve was damaged as a result, but I can't be sure that was the trigger. In the process of trying to get a diagnosis for the ATN, the doc has discovered brain lesions which has led to a preliminary diagnosis of MS and more testing. The chronic mouth/facial pain has severely diminished my quality of life. As a person who suffers chronic major depression, chronic pain is making life unbearable. I have new respect for anyone with chronic pain/illness. Appreciate your consideration and any guidance you may have to offer.
Thanks,
Sue
