I am not sure if this is related to my MS or not but I have been ill with a stomach virus for 3 days. I am finally over it I hope. I've been getting nauseated and really hot during the evenings. I feel like these are hot flashes. (I'm 38 but my mom finished early with her menopause age42). So if I am getting any hot flashes and it is causing my core temp to rise would the effect of MS make me nauseated? Today was the first day this week I actually ate breakfast and lunch.
I haven't gotten sick/thrown up yet.
Are you asking about
2 separate issues here -- a stomach virus,
and also hot flashes?
There are lots of "bugs" going around right now, and many of them can cause nausea and loss of appetite. And a fever. The 3 days you describe feeling like that seem pretty typical.
Yes, hot flashes and other problems with your period can cause MS symptoms to flare up, too. And sometimes cause you to feel like not eating.
Sometimes constipation can cause nausea, or other digestive problems related to having a slow-moving digestive system -- slow moving because there is an MS-related lesion somewhere affecting the system.
