Hey so I let you guys know about the torn ligaments in my right hand...If that is all there is (havent gotten results of LP yet) why does my other hand hurt too? Why does my leg cramp up so much and feet hurt so much? Its all so sudden...I couldnt have torn ligaments everywhere... Anyways, lets see what my LP says...

im sorry you seem to be having more problems.  Not to minimize what you are going thru, but sometimes, when one of my arms is bothering me I end up overusing/compensating with the other arm, then that arm starts hurting more.  And for me, change in weather, getting closed to "that time of the month" and increased exercise/activity tend to make my legs ache.  So maybe it might be something like that, instead of a disease. (well im hoping anyhow).  Sometimes taking a warm bath or stretching seems to help me.

I have to say i agree with Cyndi for now. There may be other things going on, but those are good things to consider and a starting place. Indeed, they could/have had that effect on people...me for example...and could be the cause of u'r prob or at least part of it. I truely hope that's it and it's nothing else. When are u supposed to have the results of u'r lp?? Of course with ms u can get cramps in places like u'r legs and hands/arms. With my symptoms, things just came up...over and over...things just kept popping up and it was sudden once it bagan. Let's just hope and pray it's not ms or any other disease for now and look forward to hearing about the lp results. Please let us know when u can and hopefully it'll all be clear. As hard as it is and as much as u'r prob tired of hearing this...it may be down to watching and waiting to see if anything shows up. That's where i am and it's no fun. Hang in there...some more!...and we'll be here to help!

Hi

I know I sound impatient, and I am sorry! My LP results should comoe sometime this week... Doc said they come in in parts.. I guess whats borthering me is having these lesions and having no explanation for the reason. KNow what I mean?? Anyways, I am also just frustrated over the massive pain in my hand and the fact that it took them 3 months and numerous tests to just find torn ligaments. That should have been one of the first things they did is look for internal injury!! Especialy cause an orthopedic surgeon was looking at it!! And waiting has definitely caused more damage... It didnt start out nearly as painful and I think I kept using that hand and now its just awful! So I guess I am just frustrated... Sorry, just had to  vent.

I know u'r frustrated and feeling impatient, anyone would be. Try to hang in there and know that even tho these things move slowly, they do move. Hopefully soon u'll have some answers and a pathway to follow, but don't get discouraged if u don't have that right away. I've been here since Feb of this year and others have been in limbo much, much longer. It's hard to wait and it's even harder to not know what's going on with u'r body especially when u'r in pain, but u can make it. I hope they can repair the ligament damage and at least get u past that and out of that pain. Vent anytime u like...we all need to sometimes! We'll be here for u and help u make it thru this.

Ho RhondaB...What is your situation? I mean which tests have you had done and what ar eyour symptoms?

My situation is that i dont' know what's wrong with me. I know what's NOT wrong, but no dx as yet. I've had three MRI's and a CT scan (abdomen), EP's (visual and auditory) a multitude of blood work to rule out things like lupus, lyme and vasculitis. All the in office neuro exams (heel to toe walk, strength tests, etc) and i'm sure there are others i'm forgetting. My symptoms (over time) have been numbness beginning in my face and eventually moving about my entire body to include the inside of my mouth and throat...something that's very scary! Tingling, stinging, itches like an ant bite, probs holding things with my right hand primarily, drunken walking, balance probs (i think this one is gonna be a resident prob) dizziness, slurred speech to include slow word recall or wrong word usage and terrible memory probs. I'm prob missing something here too, but that's prob enuf! haha All my tests have come back normal or neg for anything. I have no direction except for what research i've done and what the great people here have told me and in comparison to what i'm feeling. I can't say i have ms...as of now i don't...but given that everything else is ruled out thus far, it's the only thing left. I'm not closing any doors to any possible other thing, but i'm also not closing my eyes to this. Make sense?
